Leadership & Administration

Nickolas Praulins, Head of Primary School

Nickolas has had experience working across various geographies at both the Primary and vocational-education levels. He began his teaching career in Australia in 2006, and taught at schools in both Adelaide and Melbourne. In 2010, he moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, taking on Head of Grade, Director of Thinking Skills and Director of Marketing roles. While in South Africa, he also coordinated the development of a number of literacy and numeracy resources, endorsed by the South African Department of Basic Education, as well as authoring a weekly educational supplement for The Star national newspaper. In 2015, he moved to Frankfurt and was the Service Manager at Wall Street English before joining the Phorms staff in 2016. He has been the Head of Primary since September 2017.

Oliver Ziegler, Deputy Head of Primary School

Oliver Ziegler has been working at Phorms Frankfurt for several years. He has experience of working in primary schools, secondary schools and comprehensive schools and tries to incorporate this into his daily work. He primarily teaches the older third and fourth year students in order to prepare them for secondary school. As German coordinator, Oliver serves as the contact person for a 12-member team for German teachers and ensures that the content is taught according to the Hessian curriculum and that competence orientation is not neglected.

Since the 2021/22 school year, he has been deputy primary school head and works very closely with Nickolas Praulins. Together they continue to develop the school and always try to give the staff new pedagogical approaches. For Oliver, it has always been important that lessons are infused with a great deal of joy in learning. The students should realise why they are learning and that personal success can only be "measured" by their own development. Through a close exchange with the parents, this approach is also increasingly carried into the families.
