Individuality & Independence

Our planning is based on the children’s interests and initiatives, as well as on the careful observation of their development and progress. Our teaching teams support individual needs and challenge children appropriately.

Teachers and teaching assistants work with the whole class, with groups and with individuals. Each half term we have a topic, so that children learn to apply their learning in context. Apart from distinct lessons in German, Sports and Music, we offer mainly cross-curricular activities, which link for example cooking with learning about measurements.

In order to further develop the children’s natural curiosity, we divide the classroom into areas of learning (centers). Teachers change the activities in these centers according to the current topics and learning objectives. Pupils work independently or with the guiding support of an adult.
